salam Prof ,

I happen to stumble across your book on the early malay doctors and was fascinated by the detailed chronology. My late grandmother was daughter of abdul latiff bin Haji abdul ghani. She said he was a khadi in singapore. Abdul Latif was sent by the British to Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. My grandma used to tell me that she has a cousin Ungku Yah who married into the Pahang royal family and had a daughter Tengku tengah. It makes my hair stand on ends when I read your account.
